Safety measures at The Snop house

Deeply concerned by the challenging situation caused by the COVID-19, we are more than ever committed to the well-being of our guests and our employees by enhancing our standards of health and safety to ensure greater transparency and confidence throughout your entire experience at The Snop House which has contributed to our well-known reputation of high cleanliness standards and hospitality values.
In compliance with the International and Maltese Health Authorities recommendations and all other governmental guidelines and best practice policies to protect guests and employees, we have adopted the following enhanced cleaning protocols to keep our valued guests and staff safe.
Enhanced Cleaning Protocol
The Snop House complies with sanitization and cleaning recommended by Health and Tourism Authorities, using EPA approved products that kill COVID-19. Enhanced protocol includes additional sanitization of high-touch surfaces in the common areas. Each day, housekeepers are sanitizing in particular high-touch surfaces in bedrooms as well as in common areas including elevator, entrance door, and trash receptacles. The Snop House is also supporting continued social distancing in all public areas of its property, but also is advising to use the automatic sanitizing dispenser at entrance in the hotel, before entering and when leaving the breakfast areas. Guests are invited not to use the toilets on ground floor nor touch the books in the bookcase in the lobby.
The cleaning and sanitization of all guest rooms are also a priority. We are asking hotel staff to be extra diligent in sanitizing guest rooms including remote controls, tables, doorknobs, light switches, desk, phone, toilet faucet and sink. The frequency of room cleaning during guests stay may be altered based on guests’ requirements. For short stays (less than 3 nights), guests have the option of having no in-room cleaning during their stay; they will be asked by the receptionist on check-in.
Our linens, towels and laundry are washed in accordance with the guidelines of the Superintendent of Public Health and according to a documented protocol with our laundry operator. Dirty linen will be placed in separate plastic bags inside the guests’ room in order to avoid excess contact while being conveyed to the laundry facility.
Indoor, it is not mandatory for guests to wear face coverings. In cities and towns where it is mandatory according to local or State rules, guests may be required to wear cloth or other appropriate face coverings when they go around in common areas where social distancing cannot effectively be accomplished.
Disposable masks and small sanitizer containers will be available for sale at reception: ask our guest relations team members and they will be happy to help.
Face Coverings and Gloves
Following the Covid-19 guidelines, The Snop House is requesting the housekeeping staff throughout the property to wear gloves and face coverings (visor or masks). Our protective measures include:
– Cleaning hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds regularly and when entering or leaving a bedroom;
– Avoiding close contact and comply with social distancing;
– Disinfecting by using sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol;
– Stay home in the event of signs of illness;
Well-being checks of all employees, including physical temperature checks, will be carried out when required by law.
Temperature control on check-in
A monitoring of each guest’s temperature will be made on check-in, with an isolation request for guests with a temperature over 37.2 Celsius.
