Organizer since 1998 of the Trophée Bailli de Suffren (TBS), which has established itself over the years as the most beautiful international offshore race of exceptional yachts between Saint Tropez and Malta in the historical footsteps of Admiral Satan (Pierre André de Suffren), the MareNostrum Racing Club (MRC) had to have a representation with accommodation capacity.
This is done with a selection of charming hotels (MRC Hotel Collection) whose management shares the passion for traditional yachting on the ports of call most frequently visited by the TBS crews.
The MRC wishes to give access to its most beautiful addresses of private and independent hotels united and committed to the satisfaction of all lovers and amateurs of traditional yachting, with each location (TBS stopover), a hotel ally who by its concept, its philosophy, its setting and its teams… will make the stay of yachtmen and yachtwomen of tradition an unforgettable experience in resonance with our values and commitments responding to the “Corinthian Spirit” which is inseparable from the “Seamanship” and “Fair Play”, without melting into them.
Seamanship” is a concentrate of techniques and art of living, discipline and good humor. As for “Fair Play”, it refers to a “morally appropriate” behavior that privileges sportsmanship over the ambition to win. In TBS, the important thing is of course first of all the pleasure between friends to live beautiful navigations and beautiful stopovers, by seeking more to improve its mastery of the Art of sailing than to want to “defeat opponents”.
Thus, with its selection made on the criteria of a Corinthian Hotel Club Spirit, the MRC has the ambition to propose to the gentlemen/women sailors to stay in one of the establishments of the collection, charged with history or contemporary, unusual or more classic, chic or bohemian, near the port of reception of the various stages where the TBS made stopover since its very first edition.
